I am an unashamed bibliophile. I am eclectic, to say the least. My taste runs from Shakespeare to Mills&Boon. I love SciFi books more than any other genre (closely followed by a current 'thing' for philosophy books ranging from 'Beyond Good and Evil' to 'The idiot's guide to eastern philosophy). I have more books than I have space for which drives my husband mad, but friends love to visit 'the library'. I will always lend books and assume they won't be returned (I have no desire to stress over if and when a loved book is ever coming back so if I don't get it back by the next time I want to read it I just buy it again; I am on my third copy of 'Watching the English').
Having said all that I think I probably spend as much time watching various TV shows as I do reading. My current all emcompassing love is 'Supernatural' but I am also loving Dollhouse, Leverage, The Mentalist, Medium, How I Met Your Mother, House ... the list seems to be endless.
In RL I have a twin sister I soend a considerable amount of time chatting to on LJ, email and Sametime (an IM thing at work). We live in differnt countries at the moment which is a real challenge. Although we still manage to watch Supernatural together every week (it is a laborious technological process involving a phone and the phrase "1,2,3 NOW!").
Every now and then I leave the house to explore the many wonders of mainland Europe (recently went to Austria which I highly recommend to everyone, stunningly beautiful country).
